Xtina Gets A Star-Spangled Gig!

Congratulations, Christina!
According to multiple sources, Christina Aguilera will sing the National Anthem at Super Bowl XLV.
Hopefully this will help ease the pain that might still be lingering from all the Razzie Awards which Xtina's Burlesque is likely to win.
Should be inneresting to see how Ms. Aguilera's performance compares to Carrie Underwood's from last year.

vatican had no idea about exorcist show on discovery

Umm…we WERE intrigued by this when it seemed like it was real.

Last week, we reported that Discovery Channel was partnering with The Vatican for The Exorcist Files, a show which would recreate documented stories of real-life hauntings and demonic possession, based on cases found in the Vatican’s exclusive case files.

The Vatican doesn't seem to be on the same page as Discovery though. Here's what Monsignor Paul Tighe had to say about it:

"They (Discovery) may have had contact with some individual, but we've had no contact with Discovery here."

Vatican officials have said that the Church has "no official involvement with the series," and that the Vatican "does not even have a group of exorcists."

Here's what a rep from Discovery had to say in response:

“[We are] working with Catholic priests at parishes all over the world for the show and look forward to telling their stories.”

So, no more Vatican AT ALL? What's the deal, Discovery?

Writing Song Lyrics - Tips and Strategies to Be A Song Writer

Listening and feeling the music and emotion of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's composition would trigger some feeling of disappointment in realizing that this magnificent musical genius left the world at a young age of thirty-five years of age. His more than 600 musical compositions had been very influential during the classical era; hence, he was the most popular among classical composers.

Jamorama Review

Beats maker software is available as both a downloadable product or an online based product. Each has it's pro's and con's. Downloadable software will reside on your own computer and you can take it anywhere you go. Online based software requires internet service so if you travel a lot in the deep valleys of some backwoods mountain range, you might not be able to connect. Seriously though, internet access is so prevalent these days it's hard to find a spot that's not connected.

Choosing the Right Music Maker Software

Rap and hip hop music has been around the industry for nearly 40 years now, it all started with travelling musicians who spoke poems to a playing melody. And it did sound quite like the hip hop music made today. If you hear a rap beat without the vocals, which is called an instrumental, you can hear certain patterns playing over and over again. These are called loops. So, a rap beat consists of different loops, which all are slightly different from each other. In a loop you have the drums, the baseline, the melody and the effects.

The Structures of a Hip Hop Beat

You can find the term "exclusive beats" everywhere around the music industry, especially when it comes to hip hop music. But what does it mean? Well, professional producers sell their beats to earn money. They always try to bring their music to a new level and also give their beats an individual touch. Uniqueness is the key to their success. That is what makes a beats exclusive. But that's not all!

Reprising their roles for another go ’round, actors Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Justin Bartha and Zach Galifianakis (not pictured below) were all spotted at Ontario International Airport here in SoCal this weekend on the set of the sequel film The Hangover 2. Here are a few photos from the first day of production: As I [...]

Yesterday turned out to be a totally lazy day for me … I spent much of the day playing video games on my Nintendo DS and not doing pretty much anything else. I did venture out of the house last night to sate my hunger for a plate of Aussie Cheese Fries from Outback:

After my breathing became labored and my arteries had sufficiently hardened, it was time to get back home. David and I received some very sad news of a death in a friend’s family so David booked a flight back East to attend the funeral which will be held tomorrow. I dropped him off at the airport this morning. Since I’ll be flying solo for a couple of days I can get some things taken care of … hopefully I’ll find our Hallowe’en costumes today or tomorrow. The weather heated up considerably here in SoCal, much to my glee. Happy Sunday, y’all.

X Factor: Our Favorite Performance Of The Weekend Was….

Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow! Wow!

And here come the Adam Lambert comparisons!

Aiden Grimshaw took on the Tears For Fears classic Mad World on X Factor Saturday night.

But, he really made this song his own!

It was almost a creepy take on the song!

Definitely captivating!

Aiden has something very special about his voice!

We have to agree, though, that he needs to work on being less introverted - but this song suits him quite well.

A new batch of previously unseen promo photos of popstar-turned-actress Christina Aguilera have made their way to the Internets and they are … interesting … to say the least. The photos were shot by Andrew Macpherson and feature a relatively fresh-faced Xtina. The pics are worth checking out, especially since Xtina is not wearing her garish trademark red lipstick.

Thank the sweet baby Jebus that Macpherson got Xtina to pose without all the red lipstick. I think she looks a million times better when her make-up is light. To be honest, some of these photos are cheesy as Hell … but they’re not bad. Macpherson photographed some of the promo photos for Burlesque (including the official movie poster) as well as shoots for Natalie Portman, P!nk, Britney Spears and others. We love her, but as the shows go on, we honestly don't know if Cher Lloyd has what it takes to win X Factor.

But that's okay. She doesn't have to win. She's already won!

Cher is the most CURRENT and commercially viable of all the acts!

Forget about X Factor. We are more excited to see what she does AFTER the show!

As for her performance on Saturday night… The imaging is spot-on! We loved her physicality and her stage presence! She worked that stage and sounded great!

However….

The production was a bit distracting. The focus should be on her.

And, she pulled off the rapping, but we truly hope she uses it sparingly!

Last night David and I had a date with our good friend Josh for a long-overdue catch-up session. David and I haven’t been able to hang out with Josh for some time now so it was really great getting to spend some quality time with him. Tonight, David and I have been invited to a dinner party with friends to celebrate our BFFs Emma and Josh’s recent engagement. But, before we head out for that, I have a nice afternoon planned of reading a debut novel of one my good friends. I can’t WAIT to share news of her new book with all y’all. Guitar Set-Up - Should You Really Replace Those Pickups?

Tuning any musical instrument is the science of adjusting the pitch of many desired tones until you meet the required tone for the desired arrangement. In other words so the strings sound right and play right! Sound is basically made up of vibrations, instruments produce the vibrations and what we hear is the sound.

Basic Guitar Set-Up - Intonate Your Electric Guitar

One of the first mods that anybody makes to their guitar is to change the pickups. This can be for various reasons, it maybe that you bought a cheap lower model guitar, your after a specific tone or you've heard some famous rock god plays a particular brand and you want them. In my opinion most cheap guitars come with cheap Chinese nonsense pickups, that's because they are cheap nonsense crap guitars and don't deserve anything else.

Gordon Keith Channels Zach Galifianakis... While Interviewing Zach Galifianakis

Entertainment reporters interview celebrities — it's in the job description. Sometimes these interviews go incredibly well, and sometimes they go incredibly poorly. Sometimes, they fall into a no man's land of awkwardness that few people are likely to encounter in their lifetime.

Finally, finally, we're in the home stretch until the release of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1." The penultimate film in the "Harry Potter" series will hit theaters one month from today, and to psyche us up Warner Bros. has gifted us with yet another "Potter" TV spot.

There's nothing in this minute-long teaser that we haven't seen before, but it's still enough to get us excited. After all, it contains the majority of the elements of the film we're most looking forward to. Bill Nighy as Rufus Scrimgeour? Check. Voldemort/Harry dichotomy? Check. Locket Horcrux being destroyed? Check.

Despite how much Warner Bros. has been showing in the trailers, we still can't wait to see the film as a whole. What the trailers and spots have been missing are actual interactions between the characters. Yes, we've seen plenty of action, drama and special effects, but the core of "Harry Potter" is the relationships between the characters we've come to know and love. Other than that awesome showdown between Ron and Harry and a couple George and Fred moments in the teasers, we haven't had a chance to see the way Voldemort's reign has personally affected the magical world, and that's why we're still counting down the days until "Part 1"'s release.

Are you excited for "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1" to hit theaters?

white-house-rejects-new-york-senator-chuck-schumers-reccomendation-that-openly-gay-daniel-alter-serve-on-the-us-district-court

We're starting to feel like a broken record here with our consistent disappointment!

Despite being recommended for the position by New York Senator Chuck Schumer, openly gay Daniel Alter's nomination for federal bench in the US District Court has been rejected by the White House!

According to the Washington Blade:

“But informed sources told the Washington Blade that the White House rejected Alter’s nomination because of remarks he reportedly made regarding a case challenging inclusion of the phrase ‘under God’ in the Pledge of Allegiance. In addition, the White House reportedly objected to remarks that Alter made suggesting that merchants not wish shoppers ‘Merry Christmas’ during the holidays.”

So they threw Schumer's recommendation, which is standard procedure and tradition, out just because Alter supports a separation of Church and State?!

Unbelievable.

This nonsense needs to STOP! And soon!

terrell-williams.jpg

This is unreal.

Another gay teen has taken his life after being bullied at school.

The body of 17-year-old Terrel Williams was found hanging in his closet by his mother just hours after being attacked by 5 classmates after school.

A student at Clover Park High School in Lakewood, Washington, Terrel had endured several attacks including being shoved into a wall and even having his ribs broken.

Terrel had written in a note before hanging himself saying that coming out as a gay teen and having a relationship with boyfriend, Daric Rawr were some of the happiest times of his life. The couple would have celebrated their seventh anniversary this Saturday, which would have been Terrel's 18th birthday.

In his suicide note, he also wrote about the bullying in his school as well as apologizing to his loved ones.

"I'm sorry to my immediate loved ones, but I feel suicide is the only way out. Today, was the record worst day of my life, some kids at school stole some of my stuff that I got from people I really cared about, and that really pushed me over the top, next to being shoved into a wall, and my ribs being broken."

Earlier this week, Terrel's mother Cheryl Williams wrote on Twitter:

"My son meant the world, and high school bullies pushed him over the edge. I hope and pray, that no other child ever has to go through what he did. Bullying isn’t worth it. Why can’t people just be nice?"

Terrel's boyfriend Daric said, "He loved life, but felt the need to take it, because [the bullying] didn’t stop … respectful, whole-hearted people like Terrel, and the growing number of others, shouldn't have to feel suicide is the answer, because bullies won’t stop."

We need to have stricter laws to MAKE bullies stop and to also get the message out there that suicide is not the answer.

Terrel had so much more to offer, as did the countless teens who have taken their lives due to bullying.

So sad.

Sean Penn was spotted yesterday on the NYC set of his new film This Must Be the Place lookin’ like the saddest drag queen you ever did see:

Unfortch for Sean, he’s not playing a drag queen in this film. In Place, he will portray a retired and bored ex-rock star who finds out the ex-Nazi who executed his father in WWII is a refugee in the US. HMM … no wonder he looks so sad. This film sounds like some heady stuff … but I can’t get past the wig and make-up. I’m certain this film will appeal to some but, yeah, it ain’t grabbin’ me just yet.
